Waterford v UCD, FAI Cup, RSC 19:45
First division Waterford United hope Brendan Rea will be their secret weapon when they entertain premier side UCD at the Regional Sports Centre tonight.
The goalscoring midfielder has been on the injured list in recent weeks and Waterford have admitted that they have kept the former Kilkenny City man in cottonwool ahead of tonight's third-round Cup replay.
The delay in getting tonight's game played has meant that a number of banned Waterford players served out their suspensions during the weekend's two league games. But David Whittle's ban only comes into effect tonight.
Alan Kirby picked up a knock at the weekend, but should be okay to play, but Paul Scully has a slight groin strain and is likely to start on the bench. Kevin Waters is available again after 'flu.
For UCD - beaten in the League Cup final and almost certain to be relegated in the league - the FAI Cup is all they have left to play for.
Injured centre back Clive Delaney is suspended anyway and John Martin and Kevin Grogan are still out. David Quinn - on Collingwood Cup duty yesterday - is likely to feature up front, with Alan Mahon in defence.
