Reddy out of u21 action - February 27, 2000
Sunderland striker Michael Reddy has failed a fitness test on a heel injury and is out of today's u21 international against Denmark. Sheffield Wednesday's Alan Quinn and Celtic's Liam Miller are also ruled out.
Manager Don Givens yesterday called up West Ham's Shaun Byrne as cover - preventing him from playing a trial reserve match for Huddersfield, who want to take him on loan for the season.
Millwall's Stephen Reid will make his debut in midfield, while clubmate Richard Sadlier will come in for Reddy.
Givens said of Reddy: "Hopefully it's not too serious but it would not be fair to take a risk with Michael."
Coventry's Barry Quinn, winning his 15th cap at this level, will skipper the side from midfield.
