Ireland suffer heavy defeat - July 25, 2000

Ireland u16 0 Brondby 3

Brian Kerr's u16 team suffered a heavy reversal in their first game of the Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland last night. Ireland came up against a far stronger Brondby side and were easily beaten 3-0 by the Danish club.

Brondby took the lead in the first half and never looked back from there despite some serious talent in the Irish starting line-up, including Stephen Bradley and Paul Keegan.

Ireland never really threatened and completely ran out of steam in the last ten minutes, allowing the Danes in for another two goals.
