Two-match ban for Molloy - February 22, 2001

Bohemians' Trevor Molloy will miss two games in March - including the top-of-the-table clash against Shelbourne - after being handed a suspension by the Eircom's League disciplinary committee yesterday.

Molloy's ban comes into effect on March 6 - which means he will be eligible for the FAI Cup quarter-final against Kilkenny City, but not the league game against Derry City on March 10.

Athlone Town's attempt to win the first division championship has been dealt a blow, with Stuart Connolly picking up a two-match ban and Alan McNevin being suspended for one game - the home tie with Cobh Ramblers on March 9.

If it's any consolation to Athlone, title rivals Dundalk have Paddy Quinn and Liam Dunne banned for one game - the derby clash with Drogheda - that weekend too.

Finn Harps defender Neil Fitzhenry and Shelbourne centre back Pat Scully have also been handed one-game suspensions. Fitzhenry will miss Harps' visit to UCD, while Scully will be sidelined for the home gaem against Kilkenny City.
