Saints rescue point- November 1, 2000

St. Francis 1 Waterford United 1

David Kelly came to St. Francis' rescue last night, when he salvaged a point after Waterford had taken the lead in the Eircom division one clash at Baldonnel.

Heavy wind and rain played its part in keeping the first half scoreless.

But just nine minutes after the resumption, half-time substitute Joe Watson raced clear to put the Blues in front.

Three minutes later, though, Kelly popped up to head home the equaliser, salvaging an invaluable point for the embattled Dubliners.
