Shelbourne set up fantasy fixture - January 11, 2001

Eircom League champions Shelbourne will enter the realm of fantasy football when they take on the stars of Sky TV's 'Dream Team' soccer soap in a charity match this month.

Fictitious "Harchester United" will take on the Reds at Tolka Park on January 28 in a match sponsored by Boru Vodka to raise funds for Ireland's Childline charity.

The Shelbourne side will be boosted by celebrities Paul McGrath, former world snooker champion Ken Doherty and Boyzone member Keith Duffy.

Doherty is a Manchester United and Shamrock Rovers fan but when asked about having to line out in Shelbourne strip he quipped: "It's only for one day and it is for charity, so I reckon I'll be forgiven."

Tickets - priced at £10 for adults, £5 for children and £25 for a family of two adults and two children - go on sale today from Ticketmaster and will be available at Tolka Park on the day of the match.
