Quinn, Kinsella out of squad - February 26, 2000
Striker Niall Quinn and midfielder Mark Kinsella have pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad to meet Denmark on Tuesday.
Quinn has a recurrence of the back problem which has bothered him since before Christmas, while Kinsella - just back from a knee operation, tweaked his hamstring during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Coventry.
The good news is that skipper Roy Keane, who limped out of Man United's 6-1 win over Arsenal yesterday, will be fit to link up with the squad.
Manager Mick McCarthy has already lost Charlton goalkeeper Dean Kiely, Blackburn midfielder Jason McAteer and Tottenham defender Steve Carr.
Having called up Hibernian 'keeper Nick Colgan on Friday, McCarthy has now added Stoke City's Graham Kavanagh as midfield cover.
The absence of Quinn and Kinsella means that Feyenoord striker David Connolly is sure to partner Robbie Keane up front, while Ipswich's Matt Holland will man the centre of Ireland's midfield alongside Roy Keane.
