Keane scores again for Inter - September 25, 2000

Robbie Keane scored his third competitive goal for Inter Milan on Sunday as they came from a goal down to beat Lecce in the Italian Cup.

After drawing 1-1 in the first leg at the San Siro, Inter knew that they were in for a test and so it proved, as the home team took the lead in the 11th minute through Lucarelli.

Inter had to wait until the 66th minute before pulling themselves level when defender Cordoba got on the end of a Recoba cross to head home.

Then Keane scored one of his trademark goals to give the Milan giants the all-important lead. The Irish international striker picked up a pass from Seedorf on the edge of the box and powered into the area.

The goalkeeper came to meet him but Keane held his cool to calmly chip the ball over his body and into the back of the net. Recoba made the result safe with Inter's third five minutes later.

Inter will now play Parma in the quarter-final of the competition. Lazio face Udinese and AC Milan play Atalanta. The last quarter-final pits Fiorentina against Brescia.
