Murphy out for fortnight more - March 9, 2001

Highly promising Irish youngster Peter Murphy - on loan from Blackburn to Halifax until the end of the season - will be out of action for at least another fortnight after injuring his ankle.

It's a big blow for the 21-year-old Dubliner, who has been gaining invaluable experience at the Shay. Murphy has been ever present in the Halifax side and has racked up 18 league and cup games since his arrival there at the end of October.

The former St. Joseph's Boys defender picked up the injury in training before last week's trip to Shrewsbury and had to miss that game.

Now manager Paul Bracewell - who has four other players currently on the injured list - has revealed that Murphy will miss at least another two matches and possibly more.
