Wayside seek Saints revenge - January 5, 2001
FAI Cup: St. Pat's v Wayside Celtic, Richmond Park 19:45
Non-league minnows Wayside Celtic travel to the Stadium of Light tonight with a revenge mission in mind - but, unless you believe in Santa Claus, bet on in-form St. Pat's.
Wayside have made it through to the latter stages of the FAI Cup seven times in their history and their best performance was in 1996, when they lost in the quarter-final - to St. Pat's!
That 3-0 defeat still rankles - but it's hard to see them doing any better tonight, especially without star player Padraig Mooney.
Lucky Saints have Robbie Griffin available again after suspension and that completes a full hand for manager Pat Dolan to choose from.
