Pressure mounts on Pat's - September 15, 2000 St. Pats are the only Eircom Premier club still without a win this season and are under real pressure from their fans to finally deliver the football they are capable of. But they won't find a win or control easy to come by against new boys Longford, who have taken to life in the Premier League like ducks to water, at Richmond tonight. The Saints' summer signing from Cardiff, goalkeeper Seamus Kelly, could start tonight after missing out last week through illness. Trevor Wood, who played his 100th league game last weekend, will continue between the sticks if Kelly fails to make it. Another newcomer, Robbie Griffin, looks set to make his home debut. For visitors' boss Stephen Kenny, it's a first trip back to the Stadium of Light since leaving the St. Pat's coaching staff to take up the reins at Longford. |
