Derry aim to break Pats hoodoo - November 17, 2000

St. Patrick's Athletic v Derry

Derry travel to the Stadium of Light tonight seeking to break a hoodoo that stretches back over three years. For the Candystripes have won just once in the last ten meetings between the sides.

Derry and Pats both got off to shaky starts this season, but Pats are back on track after stringing together seven games without defeat. Derry seemed to be galvanised by their off-field financial difficulties and they too were steadily climbing the table until the wheels came off in recent weeks.

They welcome back Eddie McCallion from suspension but must still do without the services of Brendan Devlin, while defender Darren Kelly - who missed his first game of the season last week - will again be absent.

The Saints will be without Paul Osam - but Martin Russell is available again and should slot straight in.
