Coyle feels he still has much to offer - August 31, 2000

Dunfermline striker Owen Coyle feels he still has something to offer the club despite being placed on the transfer list.

The once-capped Irish international has been a goalscoring star in Scotland for the last 15 years and he still feels that he can do the job asked of him.

But he didn't hold back when asked about his short-term future, saying: "I think I still have something to contribute at this club. Maybe the manager sees that differently and that's up to him, but while I'm here I'm always going to give it my best shot."

St. Mirren and Ayr United are said to be interested in the signature of the 34-year-old striker but as yet neither have made a concrete offer.
