Rowlands back from injury - March 2, 2001
Brentford's Irish u21 international midfielder Martin Rowlands - out of action for the last three weeks - is set to return for tomorrow's Nationwide division two trip to Bournemouth.
London-born Rowlands, who turned 22 this month, came through a reserve win against Portsmouth in midweek and suffered no after-effects.
Caretaker manager Ray Lewington said: "He will be in the side and it will mean someone being disappointed, but you can't leave someone like Martin out.
"He's the type of player who makes things happen for you so I'm not going to keep a player of his quality on the bench even though we've won our last two."
Lewington's motivation may be as much to keep Rowlands in the shop window as anything else. Chairman Ron Noades is anxious to cut the club's wage bill and the Irishman, Brentford's prize asset, has attracted the attention of several managers - most recently Danny Wilson of Bristol Rovers.
Wilson tried to sign Rowlands earlier in the season and is said to be currently trying to persuade his board to finance an improved offer.
