King fears Reddy free-for-all - February 13, 2001
Swindon Town manager Andy King fears he will lose on-loan striker Michael Reddy to a bigger club. The Republic of Ireland u21 international scored his second goal in three starts for the Robins at the weekend - and King is keeping his fingers crossed that his displays won't alert big-spending rivals.
Swindon have the Kilkenny-born Sunderland striker until the end of the season, but can't afford to buy him even though they would dearly love to.
"Michael's got another goal for us which is fantastic," King said. "He gives us a different dimension going forward and we're looking more dangerous.
"But the worry is that clubs with more financial clout than us will come up with an offer that matches Sunderland's valuation."
