Hallows dream turns sour - October 19, 2000

Marcus Hallows has slapped in a transfer request at St. Patrick's Athletic after a year of misery at the club.

Hallows joined Pat's from Sligo Rovers in 1999 and his future looked rosy after impressing hugely at the Showgrounds.

But things have not worked out for him and now he wants out for the sake of his career.

St. Patrick's Athletic have struggled so far this season and are only now beginning to put things right on the pitch - but Hallows hasm't figured at all in their last five games.

Even when he does figure he only plays a bit part as sub, which has hastened his decision to move.

It looked as though he was about to get his chance when Pat's sold Trevor Molloy during the summer but Jamie Harris came from Bohemians as part of the Molloy deal and he has made the striker's position his own.
