Longford hit Harps for four - January 21, 2001
Longford Town 4 Finn Harps 1
Longford emphatically stopped the slump that had seen them slip from second place in the division over Christmas - and in doing so more or less sealed Finn Harps' relegation fate.
Shay Zellor set Longford on their way to their biggest win of the season when he picked his spot after a mazy run which took him clean through the middle on 16 minutes.
Stuart Byrne made it 2-0 early in the second half but a Shane Bradley header pegged one back for Harps four minutes later.
Longford weren't to be denied however and Keith O'Connor restored their two-goal advantage ten minutes from the end before Zellor bagged his second and Longford's fourth on the stroke of time.
