Crowe can't be stopped - October 9, 2000 Longford Town 1 Bohemians 6 What looked like a tough assignment for Bohemians was turned into a stroll at Strokestown Road as Glen Crowe kept up his wonderful goalscoring record with three of the Dubliners' goals in a 6-1 victory against Longford. Crowe put Bray to the sword in Bohemians' last league game, scoring his first career hat-trick in a 3-1 win; and he added his second on Sunday to bring his tally to an amazing 16 goals for the season. Nothing could have prepared the Longford fans for what was about to happen to their team, especially when Tony O'Connor side-footed the ball into his own net after just two minutes. The lead lasted only 16 minutes as Stephen Caffrey put the Dublin outfit on level terms in the 18th minute and two minutes later Crowe started his demolition of the Longford back-four with his first of the night when he smashed the ball home from close range. Crowe got his second on the 30-minute mark to give the visitors a 3-1 lead when he was left in acres of space to net from a free header. Crowe was again involved for Bohs' fourth as he won a penalty in the dying seconds of the first half and Trevor Molloy stepped up to coolly dispatch the ball home. Dave Morrison scored Bohs' fifth directly from a corner in the 62nd minute and Crowe completed the rout five minutes later when he slid the ball past Longford goalkeeper Stephen O'Brien.
