Home Farm moved level with Cobh on 24 points in Division One after beating them 1-0 at Whitehall last night.
Cobh went into the game as slight favourites after winning their last two league games and they started brightly showing the confidence that success brings.
But they soon ran out of ideas and Home Farm steadily took control of proceedings. They were unlucky not to take the lead on a number of occasions just before half time but it was only a matter of time before they found the back of the net.
And they did in the 57th minute when Tom McGauley met an Austin Skelly free kick to head past Cobh goalkeeper John Donegan.
