Haylock's Colchester move falls through - November 30, 2000

Garry Haylock's move to Colchester from Shelbourne has fallen through because the player and the Second Division club could not agree terms.

Haylock, who is on loan at Glenavon in the Irish League for the last couple of months, was set to sign for Colchester after he impressed on trial.

The Nationwide League club agreed to pay Shelbourne £15,000 for him - but now he will return to Northern Ireland and finish his season's loan.

Haylock said: "It wasn't the football end of it at all. I impressed them and they impressed me but financially they are not a very big club so that was that, basically.

"As far as I'm aware, I'm now a Glenavon player to the end of the season."
