Finn Harps can offer up a sacrifice to the Wood Gods after this one, as Shamrock Rovers hit everything but the net in Ballybofey.

Sean Francis, Derek Tracey and Marc Kenny all shivered the timbers as Rovers carved Harps up at will but couldn't finish them off. In between there was a string of great saves by Harps 'keeper Gareth Downey.

But for all their chances, Rovers could have lost it when a fierce drive from Alex Nescovic brought a top-class save out of Tony O'Dowd on the stroke of half time.
