Finn Harps won't be taken for Grant-ed - September 1, 2000

Unbeaten Shamrock Rovers travel to Ballybofey tonight to play a resurgent Finn Harps and striker Tony Grant will be hoping that he can break his duck to seal a win for the Dublin outfit.

Finn Harps looked like a raggle-taggle bunch for the first two weeks of the season but they pulled their act together in their last game and earned a morale-boosting win of league champions Shelbourne at Tolka Park.

Even though they have lost the services of striker James Mulligan they still confidently feel that they can get something out of tonight's game.

Rovers on the other hand are thinking of the bigger picture and they now feel they can get something out of the season after starting with a win and two draws.

Manager Damien Richardson said: "I think we can be as good as anybody and as a team we are on the verge of something. We have to improve defensively. Up front and in midfield we are as strong as anybody."
