Hardy working back to fitness - September 4, 2000 Wrexham player/coach Phil Hardy has had good news from his doctor. Hardy injured his knee in a pre-season friendly and it was thought that it was a recurrence of the knee problem which was operated on during the summer. But thankfully he has got the news that it is not the same injury and he will not need another operation. The Irish 'B' international has been told that the new injury is in the muscles around the side of his knee and not his old knee problem. Indeed, his summer operation has now been deemed a success and he has been told he does not need a second operation.
