Gormley banned for two - February 15, 2001

Bohemians and Bray have been hit hard by the Eircom League's disciplinary committee following their grudge FAI Cup match a fortnight ago.

Bray's Eddie Gormley - sent off in that game - has been banned for two matches and fined £40. Bohemians' Alex Nesovic and Bray's Stephen Fox - red-carded in the same game - have each been hit with a similar fine and a one-match ban.

And Bray manager Pat Devlin has been fined £100 and warned about his future conduct.

Nesovic's suspension, along with a one-match ban for Kevin Hunt for amassing five yellows, means that both players will miss the Gypsies' FAI Cup quarter-final against Kilkenny City - as will City's New Zealand international centre back Gavin Wilkinson, who has also exceeded the disciplinary points mark.

Other players receiving one-match suspensions were: Eamonn McLoughlin (UCD), Matt Britton (Bray Wanderers), Stuart Connolly and Keith O'Brien (Athlone Town), Willie Byrne and Paul Coughlan (Cobh Ramblers), Eugene Galloway and Gareth Ryan (Limerick) and Monaghan's Derek Gill.

The suspensions apply after Tuesday, February 27.
