Dutch will warm up against England - January 11, 2000

Holland will prepare for their crucial World Cup fixture against the Republic of Ireland on September 3 with a friendly against England.

England answered the call as the Dutch sought a 'British-style' opponent ahead of their Group 2 qualifier against Ireland at Fortress Lansdowne.

With Wembley out of action for the next three years, White Hart Lane will be the venue for the England-Holland game, on Wednesday, August 15.

The game will be new England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson's second build-up game before World Cup matches against Greece and Germany in the autumn.

England also announced yesterday a friendly against Mexico on May 25 at Pride Park - the first-ever international at the Derby venue.
