Dirty Dundalk salvage a point - October 6, 2000 Dundalk 1 Limerick 1 High-flying Division One outfit Dundalk were lucky to earn a draw against Limerick at Oriel Park last night as they ended the game with only nine men on the field. A game Dundalk were expected to win easily didn't start the way home fans were hoping for. Limerick's young guns took the lead after only 13 minutes when Derek McCarthy earned himself a bit of space before firing home. Dundalk looked destined to get nothing from the game, especially when Padraig Gollogley was sent off with 19 minutes left on the clock but they somehow managed to score an equaliser in the 83rd minute through Derek Delaney. Then they held on for dear life as they lost David Crawley to another red card.
