Veteran striker Derek Swan could be about to become a mature student! The 34-year-old goalscorer is currently training with UCD with a view to making the Students' premier squad.
Manager Martin Moran sees Swan as a potential answer to his goalscoring problems. His team have hit just 21 goals in 20 league matches this season and currently lie third from bottom in the premier division.
Swan was released by Bohemians as part of a clear-out at the end of last season which also saw Robbie Brunton, Maurice O'Driscoll and Eoin Mullen leave Dalymount.
He had a trial period at Kilkenny City earlier in the season but nothing materialised.
