Rotherham looking at Lynch - January 19, 2001
It looks like u21 international Damien Lynch could finally be on the move - to second division Rotherham United.
Midfielder Lynch is currently on trial at the Millmoor Ground and the youngster is relishing the prospect of joining up with fellow Irishmen Alan Lee, Paul Dillon and Andy Turner - provided he can impress manager Ronnie Moore.
Lynch - out of contract at Leeds at the end of this season, already tried out at Swindon Town and convinced manager Andy King. But the club's board told King he could not have Lynch unless he first trimmed his squad.
"Perhaps that will be a blessing in disguise," said Lynch. "The most important thing at the minute is for me not to lose patience and to wait and evaluate all my options.
"Leeds don't seem to be too bothered about letting me go elsewhere on trial."
