Lynch back at Leeds - November 16, 2000 Irish underage international Damien Lynch has been recalled to Leeds for tonight's reserve game against Bradford, after a week on trial at Huddersfield Town. Lynch - yet to play a first-team game for Leeds - played for Huddersfield's second string in a 1-1 draw with West Brom on Monday night. Huddersfield boss Lou Macari brought Lynch to the McAlpine to run the rule over him after the player was released by Leeds manager Dave O'Leary. But O'Leary has apparently had a change of heart and has interrupted Lynch's trial to recall him for tonight's game. Lynch, 20, starred for Ireland u21s in their recent European Championship qualifier against Estonia at Buckley Park, Kilkenny - a match Ireland won 1-0 to give manager Don Givens his first competitive victory.
