Hill gets three-match ban- September 21, 2000

The Eircom League has come down heavy on Bohemians' Dave Hill, following his sending off against Derry City earlier this month.

The former Cork defender has been banned for three games and fined £40.

Shelbourne's Richie Foran was also fined £40 and banned for just one game following his red card against Kilkenny City the same weekend.

Foran got off lightly because his sending off was for a second yellow incurred when he took of his shirt to celebrate a goal. But the Shelbourne, who has a dismal disciplinary record this season, faces further suspension for other offences.

Paul Shields of Monaghan United, sent off against Drogheda, has picked up a two-game ban and a £20 fine.
