As rumours persist about Liam George leaving Kenilworth Road, another Irishman has just joined Luton Town. Dean Brennan has been given a contract by the club after impressing on trial.

The 20-year-old is well known by manager Ricky Hill as he had Brennan under his tutelage at Sheffield Wednesday when he was youth coach there. He believed at the time that he was a better player than Alan Quinn and Quinn has gone on to make a name for himself.

Hill questioned Brennan's temperament - but the player must have proved that he has got hold of it or he would not have been signed.
