Conor could make it big in Scotland - July 26, 2000 Republic of Ireland u21 international Conor O'Grady is off to Scotland for a trial with Premier Division Dundee. The Sligo Rovers midfielder will have one week with Dundee to prove what he can do. O'Grady has been a star with the Sligo team for a number of years and it is surprising that it has taken this long for somebody across the water to give him a chance. He is a massive youngster with an awful lot of skill. He is good on the ground and in the air and knows his way to goal. "It's been an ambition of mine to play cross-channel and I'd love to do it at Dundee. This could be my last chance," said O'Grady, who has been handed the break by former Sligo boss Jim McInally, now on the coaching staff at Dundee. |
