O'Rourke quits Cobh post - November 7, 2000 Cobh Ramblers are in search of a new manager after John O'Rourke decided to resign from the club. O'Rourke's mind was made up after he learned on Friday night that he hadn't the full backing of the club's committee. "I was given a brief at the start of the season which was to introduce some young players and concentrate on building a side on a long term basis. "On Friday I felt that this brief changed. Once it was clear that everyone wasn't giving me the full backing, then I was left with little choice. "I'm disappointed about that but still have a great affinity with this club," said O'Rourke. |
