Bray 2 Shamrock Rovers 2

Shamrock Rovers looked to be heading for the top of the Eircom League when they led Bray 2-0 at the Carlisle Grounds yesterday.

Goals from Marc Kenny and Tony Grant had the Hoops two-up after 54 minutes and dreaming of league leadership.

But Bray spoiled the party with a determined fightback led by substitute Barry O'Connor. Jason Byrne scored in the 64th and 75th minutes to set up a big finish in which the home side could easily have sneaked a win.

Rovers' boss Damien Richardson wasn't happy.

"We were cruising," he said. "From a position of complete authority we showed a little softness in one or two positions and I found that a little difficult to accept.
