Bray aim to put record straight - January 5, 2001

FAI Cup: Bray Wanderers v Sligo Rovers, Carlisle 19:45

Cup specialists Bray Wanderers won the trophy in 1999 and reckon they were diddled out of it last year - a claim vindicated when they were awarded £30,000 compensation from the FAI a couple of weeks ago.

Now they are highly motivated to put the Cup back where it belongs - on the sideboard at the Carlisle Grounds.

Sligo Rovers - motoring along nicely towards the back of the promotion pack in division one - are the first putative victims.

But self-driven manager Tommy Cassidy will have them all fired up for this one and Sligo won't be any pushover. They have a proud cup record - and no injury worries.

Bray, on the other hand, will be without the suspended Maurice Farrell and Wesley Charles may miss out on the chance to face his old team because of 'flu. But Kieran O'Brien and Dave Campbell are available again after suspension.
