Branagan set for league debut - December 1, 2000

Irish international goalkeeper Keith Branagan is set to make his Premiership debut for Ipswich against Derby tomorrow, with Richard Wright watching from the sidelines.

Wright cracked a bone in his wrist last weekend and was forced out of Ipswich's midweek Worthington Cup victory over Coventry.

Branagan, 34, stood in for that game - his first since signing for the Premiership club from Bolton at the start of the season.

Meanwhile the East Anglian club's other Irish international, team captain Matt Holland, is again suffering from the mystery ankle injury that has plagued him since September.

Holland has not missed a league game for Ipswich since joining from Bournemouth in 1997 and is reluctant to rest the injury while Ipswich are flying high in the Premiership.
