Boxall could be back earlier than expected - July 25, 2000 Republic of Ireland u21 international Danny Boxall is making better than expected progress after tearing knee ligaments when Brentford played Luton last season. Danny was not expected to make a comeback until at least Christmas - but it now seems that he is ready to resume light training in the next couple of weeks and could figure in the squad earlier than expected. Brentford manager Ron Noades will be delighted with the news because he rates Danny as one of the most important members of his squad. Boxall is the only natural right-back at the club and with Noades favouring a 5-3-2 formation it is crucial that he is fit to take his place. Danny, ever the professional, has spent all summer maintaining fitness and ensuring there is no wastage in the muscle. |
