Bohs go top - October 21, 2000

Bohemians 1 Finn Harps 0

Glen Crowe missed out on a record ninth consecutive scoring game, but won't shed any tears ater Trevor Molloy's goal was enough to beat Finn Harps and give Bohs a share of top spot in the league.

Molloy struck for the only goal of the game after 54 minutes, giving Gareth Downey no chance from 12 yards.

Seconds earlier, though, Wayne Russell's goal survived a major scare when John Kenny's deflected shot dipped just over the bar. And Harps had their chances to equalise too, with Alex Nesovic, Kevin McHugh and Shane Bradley all going close.

Chances in the first half had been few and far between - Downey pushing away a 36th-minute Molloy shot and Russell dashing from his line to foil the advancing Kevin McHugh two minutes before the break.
