Bohs look to continue success - October 4, 2000

Roddy Collins' in-form Bohemians take on Home Farm Fingal tonight in a rearranged League Cup game. Bohs were supposed to play the game a fortnight ago but it clashed with their UEFA Cup against Kaiserslautern.

Bohs know that only a win tonight will see them reach the quarter-finals of the competition. Home Farm surprisingly lead Group 3 after earning a 2-0 victory against Dundalk in their first game.

Bohs could only manage a 2-1 win against the same opposition, which gives Home Farm something to fight for tonight.

Limerick and Waterford are already representing the First Division in the quarter-final draw and Home Farm would love to join them - but boss Johnny McDonnell is realistic about the club's chances.

He said: "It'll be a useful yardstick for us. It'll give a pointer to the lads about how far we have to go as a team."

Bohemians brushed aside Bray Wanderers in the League last week thanks to a hat-trick from the hotter than hot Glen Crowe.

The former Wolves striker has scored in his last five games, including two against Kaiserslautern in the home and away legs of the UEFA Cup.

He should play tonight but Trevor Molloy, Stephen Caffrey and Kevin Hunt are all rested. Dave Hill will also miss the game due to suspension, but Shaun Maher returns from injury.
