Bohs wide-boy worries continue - December 21, 2000

Bohemians v Longford Town 19:45

Bohemians' problems out wide have just got even worse - and that could be good news for Longford Town.

Tonight's Dalymount clash could establish definitively which of these two is the pretender to Shelbourne's crown. Both have gone off the boil in recent weeks, allowing Shamrock Rovers and Bray Wanderers into the picture. But three points tonight for either side would give them a huge leg up and knock the other out of the race.

The trouble for Bohs is that the supply lines to their deadly striking duo, Glen Crowe and Trevor Molloy, have dried up completely since wide midfielders Mark Dempsey and Dave Morrison got inured.

Dempsey was due to return tonight but has suffered a setback. And to make matters worse, Dave Williamson, Gary O'Neill and Brendan Markey - all of whom give manager Roddy Collins options out wide - are all doubtful starters.

Longford's injury problems are in the back four - and they're not getting any better either. Paul Perth, Paul McNally and Wesley Byrne are all still out and have been joined on the treatment table by Alan Murphy (ankle).

Keith O'Connor also faces a late fitness test.
