O'Callaghan out of squad - February 23, 2001

Barnsley full back Brian O'Callaghan has been forced to pull out of the Republic of Ireland u21 squad for the friendly against Denmark at Dalymount on Tuesday.

The Limerick man sat out Tuesday night's game against Crystal Palace and has been unable to train this week because his tendonitis has flared up.

It's a birthday bummer for O'Callaghan, who turns 20 tomorrow.

The former Pike Rovers star made his league debut in the first match of the season against Norwich last August and has gone on to rack up 31 senior appearances for the Tykes.
