Markey can go - December 12, 2000

Bohemians boss Roddy Collins is prepared to part company with Brendan Markey, the former Millwall striker he bought from Waterford United at the start of the season.

Collins has already circulated the other Eircom League clubs with Markey's details and expects to conclude a deal by the end of the week.

The 24-year-old has been kept out of the Bohemians side by Trevor Molloy and Glen Crowe and hasmade just ten apperances for the Gypsies so far this season - nine of those as substitute - with one goal to his credit.

Markey began his league career with Dundalk before getting his chance at the New Den. But he returned to Ireland last year without making a first-team apperance for Millwall.
