Republic of Ireland u21 international Alan Quinn has been handed a two-match ban following his sending off against Fulham at the weekend.

The Sheffield Wednesday midfielder got his marching orders after a second yellow card in the 64th minute of the game, which left manager Paul Jewell less than impressed.

Jewell had no complaints about the referee's decision, saying: "Quinny disappointed me. I love his attitude at times, but he left us in the lurch with ten men against a top-quality side. The referee had no option but to send him off and I've got no complaints."

Alan will miss Wednesday's games against Norwich on November 11 at Hillsborough and the derby clash with Barnsley at Oakwell the following week.
