'Keeper tells Cardiff: come and get me - January 31, 2001
Irish international 'keeper Alan Kelly has issued a "Come and get me" plea to Cardiff manager Alan Cork.
Kelly is desperate to get away from Blackburn where he has been frozen out since the arrival of American Brad Friedel.
Cardiff made enquiries for the 32-year-old - but Kelly fears they may have been frightened off on hearing of his wage-packet at Ewood Park.
Now Kelly is pleading with former Sheffield United team-mate Cork to renew his interest.
"To tell the truth, I didn't take Cardiff's approach too seriously because I got the impression my wages might be a problem," Kelly said. "But we should at least discuss the matter."
