Leicester could save Kelly - November 22, 2000
Alan Kelly needs to get away from Blackburn Rovers and his chance could come over the next couple of days with the news that Leicester goalkeeper Tim Flowers has damaged a shoulder which could force him out for a lengthy period.
Kickin' linked Kelly with a move to Leicester early in September because of the imminent arrival of Brad Friedel at Ewood Park and it could well become a reality if the news on Flowers is bad.
Flowers is definitely out of Leicester's clash with Spurs at the weekend but he is still waiting on the result of a scan to see if the damage is serious.
Kelly would jump at the chance to move up a division and one place in the pecking order, because a fit Flowers would keep him out of the team but at Blackburn he has been pushed down to third choice, leaving him with little chance of action.
