Byrne in trouble - January 18, 2001
Wayside Celtic midfielder Alan Byrne is in hot water with the FAI after being reported for pushing the referee during last week's FAI Cup match against St. Pat's.
Byrne, who played League football with Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers and Bray, will be called to account before a future disciplinary meeting.
Non-league players who's fate has already been decided following their FAI Cup second-round matches include Moyle Park's Stephen Galvin (three-match ban), Portmarnock's Declan Dolan (one match) and Rockmount's Pat Cassidy (one-match).
Longford Town striker Stephen Kelly - currently injured - has been handed a one-match ban, as has Kilkenny City's Sean Riordan.
